CU Boulder is the University of Colorado’s premier research university located at the base of the Rocky Mountains. The student population hovers around 36,000 with strong programs in It serves over 36,000 students, offering over 270 degree programs, with strength in aerospace engineering, physics, and environmental sciences. The Leed’s School of Business and College of Engineering and Applied Science tend to be more competitive than other majors. CU Boulder’s Program in Exploratory Studies offers advising and guidance for students who are still deciding.

Students at Boulder describe the campus as “work hard, play hard” and are SPIRITED Buffs fans with participation in NCAA Division 1 athletes competing in the PAC 12 conference. The campus culture is feels collaborative, and CU Boulder is often sited as one of the most beautiful in the nation, and I have to agree that it is a stunning campus in a stunning location. And…Boulder itself is a pretty nice town to visit! Hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding and other outdoor pursuits are easily found nearby.

Living Learning Communities are themed around specific topics that might include majors or specific interests. Healthy Buffs, Leads Scholars and Honors, Music Buffs, Service and Social Action, Hallet Hall Identity Based, and Engineering Connections are a few LLCs available. Traditional dorms are available as well. It’s great to have housing options.
